EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Lotus Dzeke is the Head of Technical and IFRS Country Leader at BDO (Mauritius).
He is a CA (SA), member of South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2013, he moved into various audit firms (Big 4 and medium) as a key Technical Accounting team member. His role was to provided accounting guidance and audit support across all industries. He moved into corporate for a short period of time where he was the Group Technical Accounting Specialist of a JSE, LSE, and SEM listed entity.
He is responsible for all technical matters and issues arising in the course of external audits carried out by the Practice, consulting with clients on IFRS application matters, and providing regular training to clients and BDO staff.
Through the various technical roles, he possesses extensive technical accounting experience acquired both locally in Mauritius and internationally (South Africa, and Asia Pacific).
